We will try to cover these sessions via our social media channels as much as we can! Stay tuned via our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages. You can find the detailed official schedule here.

As you may already know Automattic has recently introduced the next big thing in WordPress, Project Gutenberg; the next-level WordPress page builder to create all kinds of content within WordPress and solve a lot of problems and inconsistencies many third-party WordPress page builders have. A technology that will affect many developers, designers and marketers and will  change the WordPress page builders game forever.

It’s no wonder that you see a lot of lectures scheduled for Gutenberg in this year’s WCEU. Tammie Lister, Matias Venture, the Gutenberg Team, Zac Gordon and Lara Schenck are a few examples. In addition to Matt Mullenweg, the co-founder of WordPress, who will be giving a keynote on Everything WordPress related on Friday June 15, there is also some other special names we don’t want to miss at all!

Joost de Valk, founder of Yoast.com will talk about ‘Technical SEO to grow your WordPress business’ and Marieke van de Rakt, another partner at Yoast on Improving your internal linking structure. John Maeda, the global head of Automattic will also talk about WordPress and Inclusive Design on Friday.

WCEU After Party

Just like other WordCamp events, his year’s event comes with an amazing after party with a retro-futurism theme! The party is on 16th June in the Belexpo Centar, Španskih boraca 74, Belgrade, which is the same venue where the Contributor Day will be held.

Freemius + WP Engine Meetup

Folks at WPEngine and Freemius will hold a special meetup for selected WordPress community members this year. Artbees will have the pleasure of attending this event along with likes of Omar Reiss of Yoast, Steven Word of WPEngine, Ben Pines & Yaniv Goldenberg of Elementor, Ionut Neagu of CodeinWP and other great names.

Artbees will spend a lot of time in WCEU this year contributing to WordPress, learning new things, meeting new people and helping a better community shape for WordPress. We are well aware of the tremendous amount of work and effort put by organisers, sponsors, partners and volunteers to make this and all similar WordCamp events happened.

I can say this is exactly what makes WordPress a software built by its community not personal or corporate benefits. We hope to see you in this year’s WCEU! If you have plans to join us please do let us know via any of our social media channels or simply by putting a comment here and we will arrange a meeting 😉

I'm a daydreamer. I design great products and ideate general marketing policies at Artbees. In my free time I do great impressions of Jim Raynor from Starcraft, grow my to-read list and rave about the next Tesla product.
